Haritaki has been regarded very highly from ancient times by traditional healers and it is rightly called the mother of herbs. It is widely used in ayurvedic medicine and it is also one of the three ingredients of the famous triphala which by itself signifies its importance in ayurvedic medicine. Haritaki has got anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiulcerogenic, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-carcinogenic, anti-viral, astringent, anti-aging, anti-arthritic, anti-microbial, hypoglycemic, anti-pyretic and hypolipidemic properties.

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) is a gentle bowel cleanser that has laxative properties, helps maintain regular bowel movements and ensures the comfort of smooth evacuation. It is an internal cleanser, detoxifier, supports body tissues, and improves digestive functions.

How to Use

As a Herbal Drink: Mix ½ tsp (2–3g) of Haritaki Powder in a glass of warm water. Consume once daily, preferably at bedtime for best digestive benefits.

With Honey: Mix ½ tsp with 1 tsp of raw honey and consume directly — the traditional Ayurvedic method for digestive wellness.

With Warm Milk: Mix ½ tsp in warm milk with a pinch of rock salt for relief from constipation.

Dosage: 2–4g per day or as directed by an Ayurvedic practitioner.
